First you will need to input your API keys from whatever exchanges you want to integrate with BulkChain. In order to create theses keys you will need to log on to these exchanges and locate “Create API key” under your account. Once there you can add your API keys to BulkChain allowing us access.
An API key is a secure password that provides BulkChain access to markets and real-time trading services on your existing exchanges. Each API key consists for two passwords a public key and a secret key. Make sure you write your secret key when you create it because you will only be shown it once.
Base coins are coins that we use in order to fund your orders. Currently we are supporting BTC, ETH, DOGE, USDT, LTC, and BNB.
An asset is any tradable or fungible digital asset listed on exchanges. Crypto assets typically fall into three classifications cryptocurrency, crypto commodities, and tokens. Together these three asset classes have exploded in number with no central location to purchase them, until now. BulkChain provides access to 1,500 unique assets! You use base coins to purchase assets.
We calculate cap size for each coin by comparing its total market cap standing in relation to the rest of the market. Meaning the top 25% of the market is classified as “Large Cap”, the next 25% as “Mid Cap” and so on.
Not yet, BulkChain is a software tool, not a fund or an exchange. Currently in order to execute orders with BulkChain you must already own asset on at least one of the exchanges we currently integrate with. If you do not own any, you can purchase crypto through many online vendors, we suggest Coinbase.
An index fund is a type of mutual fund with a portfolio constructed to match or track the components of an underlying asset like stock market shares or cryptocurrencies. These funds have historically outperformed most actively managed funds because they provide diversification. But this strategy has one major limitation, ownership. When purchasing indexes an investor owns shares in that fund, not the assets lying underneath.
A direct Index is a basket of stocks that tracks an index. The difference between a direct index and a index mutual fund is that with a direct index the investor directly owns the underlying shares. This gives investors back control over their funds to reach their individual financial goals.
Currently BulkChain integrates with Binance, Bittrex, HitBTC, Livecoin, Yobit, Bitfinex, and Liqui.
The security of your information is a top priority of ours, so we protect it at every step. Since we do not hold your funds at any time, we focus on preventing anyone from using your account except you. Firstly we recommend two step authentication for all actions on BulkChain. Secondly, we only require trade access API keys, not withdrawal. This means no one can withdrawn your funds from the exchange. Lastly in the event of irregular trading we delete your API key severing our connection to your exchange account.
